Believe it or not, many electric models are able to compete with the towing and horsepower capabilities of their gasoline-powered rivals. For reference, the available extended-range battery on the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is targeted to reach 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque.² The truck also provides a top conventional towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.³ The 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition can even go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds and can reach 480 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.⁴

Charging is simple. It’s the same concept as charging your cell phone. Every Ford EV model comes standard with a 30-amp Ford Mobile Power Cord, allowing you to charge from either a 120V or a 240V outlet. There are other choices for quicker charging, including a charging wall box in your garage that can be installed by a licensed electrician. If you’re out and about, you can simply stop at a public charging station or any charging spot in the BlueOval™ Charge Network.
